Orange You Glad It's Dinner Time?

I apologize for the lame title.

The captain thinks that I am going to make myself sick, but hopefully not.

Saturday Night - Oxymoron?

At first I had my title as "Saturday Night - Redundant?" - I realized that was wrong though. Saturday day would be redundant - Saturday night is an oxymoron.

Here is a little compilation of my Saturday:

I changed my blog layout namely. I took the Astro template from ThemeLib:

and made it my own.

Captain Geo and I went out to dinner with my sister and her fam.

I snuggled the pups.

I wrote the blog entry that you can find below.

Spent most of my day in jammy-jams.

When Life Gets You Down

Feeling out-of-sorts. So to where does one turn at a time like this? If you're like me and familiar with this song - bestowed on us by the good graces of Monty Python - you might give it a listen. It's a little ditty called The Galaxy Song. It really helps me to put my life in perspective. Click on the link and - if you have all of the necessary programs and add-ons and plug-ins and whatnot - you'll be able to hear it. I have included the lyrics below.

Penny, this one is for you.

http://www.mwscomp.com/sounds/mp3/galaxy.mp3

| Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown,
| And things seem hard or tough,
| And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
| And you feel that you've had quite enough,

| Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
| And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour,
| That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned,
| A sun that is the source of all our power.
| The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
| Are moving at a million miles a day
| In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour,
| Of the galaxy we call the 'Milky Way'.

| Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars.
| It's a hundred thousand light years side to side.
| It bulges in the middle, sixteen thousand light years thick,
| But out by us, it's just three thousand light years wide.
| We're thirty thousand light years from galactic central point.
| We go 'round every two hundred million years,
| And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
| In this amazing and expanding universe.

| The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
| In all of the directions it can whizz
| As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,
| Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is.
| So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
| How amazingly unlikely is your birth,
| And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,
| 'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth.

Also, other things that help:

My Pepsi-Cola

The Face of Evil

I got an email from Captain Geo with a photo of my cat Polly - the subject: The Face of Evil. Polly bit him last month and the bite became infected - tenosynovitis. Geo was in the hospital for four days. He - for good reason - refuses to get anywhere near Polly now.

Sad rubber band

It scares me - AND makes me so sad - when a rubber band breaks.
